>IMHO, the best source of information on the Windows API is the information supplied through an MSDN subscription. However, VFP 3.0 (but not 5.0) came with a Win32api.hlp file that documents the calls. A similar file is available from the former Borland site (Inprise now?). Unfortunately, I don't know the URL off hand, so I can't help there. Maybe another UTer will be kind enough to supply that for you.

However, the good folks here can help you if you have any problems. There are some calls that just can't be made from VFP, due to the limitations of the language. Given the size and scope of the API, there are a lot of things you can do.

George,

Thanks. I just got the company to allow me to subscribe to the Universal Thread - actually I showed them your code you sent and stated I didn't know how to do it, thus saving them money!

Now, I'll be able to search for some of these things already posted in the past, along with seeing the whole threads.
