I'm wondering what is better and faster:

select Table1
scatter memvar
FieldFK = something
PointerField = something
release cEntered_User, tEntered_Date
insert into Table2 from memvar

or

insert into Table2 (field1, field2, fieldN,...) ;
values ;
(Val1,Val2, Table1.fieldN,...)

I switched from the first to the second, but it doesn't look like I gain a speed increase. I did multiple other changes, so it's hard to compare original code with the new code. But anyway, what do you think?
