While back I found scatter name much slower than scatter memvar. I never re-tested. Do you know if it still the case?
Also in our case the tables have lots of extra fields never populated such as
cUser_Def1,cUser_Def2, (4 fields). If I don't include them into my insert command, should it be better or it doesn't matter anyway?
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
