I jumped into this just now and might have missed
something that was said before. Please excuse
me if so.

It is not recommended to use the same connection
for more then one SQL statement. Yes, it is supported
by DSN\ODBC, BUT, you may run into problems by doing it.
Most of the time it works but it does crash on frequently.

It is best to open different connections for each
SQL connection. Although it does take longer,
the programs stability is, in my opinion [which doesn't
always amount to much], more important.
