Points to you, I had to look up 'apposite' and learned a new word today.

Blame it on the American South and our 'lazy mouth', as I'm assuming that your issue is with the dropped 'g'...but I could be wrong on that.

If your issue is with the use of the phrase itself, I look on it as an extension of the "I'm liking..." as in "I'm liking what you did with this room" or "I'm liking what you did with the spices in this recipe" which I'm not particularly fond of myself, but I've learned to ignore it as I'm surrounded by many, MANY products of the American school systems so "I'm likin'" or "I'm lovin'" is one of the least offending phrases I hear on a daily basis.
