>Hi All
> Does anybody know of a activeX libary that will let me pass a text string in english and return it in another langauge.ie; German, Spanish etc. I need to convert a pdf report into another langauge programmicly. Does anyone know of such a animal. It can written for any programming langauge also, such as C, C++ anything. I need to do this when I am actually creating the report, not afterwards.

In addition to Dragan's reply, I read the following in the news: A certain German town wanted to publish a bilingual (English/German) pamphlet for tourists. They decided to save the expense of a professional translator, and use a free Web service.

After printing 7000 copies of the pamphlet, they discovered that the online translator had rendered the text virtually useless, so they had to start all over.

And the moral of the story is... (left as an exercise for the reader).

I do translations myself, and had tried translation software several times, in the hope of later doing some "cleaning-up". I have come to the conclusion - confirmed once again by Dragan's translation sample! - that it is more work for me to clean it up than to translate it in the first place.
Difference in opinions hath cost many millions of lives: for instance, whether flesh be bread, or bread be flesh; whether whistling be a vice or a virtue; whether it be better to kiss a post, or throw it into the fire... (from Gulliver's Travels)
