Luis,
Don't be depressed. Programing is not like working on conveyor. Sometimes you have ideas, sometimes you stuck with no ideas at all. The main point it not to give up.
The easiest way to learn something is to read, read all you could find. Google is you best friend. Ask questions in forums and try to understand the code other people posted, not only to your questions. Try to optimise their answers. Don't loose curiosity, try to answer to all questions (I don't mean to post the answer, just try).
When I started to programm on VFP, i tried to conver one of the easiest application of ours writen on CLIPPER. That is one way to learn. You know what this application must do and you try to reach this in VFP. After you do this you can extend your application more.

The only thing normal about database guys is their tables.
