>1. I setup a network in bookkeeping company. On every machine is set up printer. This is convenient because output documents must be put on right place in the moment they are done. But, on the end of the year we must print a lot periodic documents. We use FoxPro 2.6 DOS on our DOS and Windows machine, and print to file, and then copying this file to the printer. I am wandering if there is a way to output file before copying to local printer redirect to the another printer on the DOS client (for windows solution is simple, only I must do is to configure printer like shared). I am not sure if DOS can share a printer, but my friend say "Novell personal netware" can.

do u want to print from the dos client to a network printer
look at NET USE command in the dos network client

>2. I have a modem (BOCA 28.800 MV.34I) witch I use to connect to the internet. I want to put my modem on the server and to be able to use it for connection to the internet, and to be able to send and receive a faxes. I can see anywhere sharing modem properties.

to use a single modem for the network you need to install some kind of proxy server on the NT server

I am also wondering about protocols. If I would be able to make modem sharable I must install a TCP/IP protocol on server to access my internet provider, but from server modem to local station witch protocol I will be use. Is it TCP/IP or it is NetBEUI, or how looks this type of connection.

this depends on your proxy program

>3. I cant see anywhere add new hardware in my NT 4.0. Must I look better or…

what exacly do u mean ?
usually when adding hardware you should shutdown the server unless u installed a PCMCIA "drive"

Arnon
this depends on your needs and the size of the backups
Jaz seems like a nice option though
