The ADAPTER is helpful, I guess, for a quick fix - but the XML Object is not that difficult. We might be using XML as a database engine someday! Apache has a really bad-a implementation of XML DOM - it's like a con-current access multi-threaded guy that does not seem to loose it's "state" between sessions. Well, it sems that way, anyway..

Real XML is not that difficult - and it - so I have heard - will broaden our horizons!

There's a book from O'Reilly, "XPath and XPointer" (John E. Simpson) that you might find helpful.
