Well being the Denver fan I am, what are we going to bet?

>The loss of Roaf is a setback for KC. But KC does have Jordan Black, who has been with them for a few years. Jordan Black is a bit smaller than Roaf, but at this stage is also quicker (Roaf has had leg injuries that slowed him down a bit).

>Yes, KC's record was better when Roaf was in the lineup. But in many cases where they lost without Roaf, it was the first week following a Roaf injury. Keep in mind that the Chiefs still have training camp and pre-season to prepare and adjust. While Roaf will be missed, it is better than Roaf retiring later in the year. Also, Roaf's retirement would hurt KC a bit more if Priest Holmes were still the featured RB. As great as Holmes is, Larry Johnson is a little better at busting off tackles. If Larry Johnson stays healthy, he could gain a ton of yards this year.

>I'll hold to my pick: 11-5 for KC and the AFC West Title. ;)
