Hey John,

>Me too. There is no doubt this is the greatest country in the history of the world, but many deride it. It's those who haven't had the opportunity of fighting for it, usually.

We're not flawless, but the US has been the driving force for positive change in the world for 100 years. Liberations, disaster aid, economic revitalization, etc....Can you imagine what the world would be like now without the US? But, you have to expect that we're going to get kicked in the shins a lot from the rest of the world for one reason or another...it goes with the territory.

I haven't fought for it but I defended it....1977-1982 Strategic Air Command.

>I'm not giving up on the Sheriff's race. I'll be back in four years with a new party, or else I'll run as an independent. Hopefully, I won't be in the hospital when the deadline draws near, and maybe I can put a little money together during the meantime.

Isn't it a non-partisan race? Most places it is.
