The problem was caused by division by zero. There is no problem until I execute the graph OCX, it seems to change the rules and VFP falls over! Unfortunately, appending a blank record to a table which has a tag involving division by any field, is also considered division by zero!

The problem was not related to the machine I ran it on, but the date - my division was by (expiryDate - DATE()); sometimes causing zero, sometimes not.
