It would be cooler if VFP just gave us the ability, I'm pretty disappointed that this needed feature didn't make it into VFP6. It's not like it's such an impossible task. I put this kind of functionality in my highlighting grid class by just adding 2 properties. One to hold the classlib and one for the class name of the shape subclass to use.
