Thank you for the additional insight. I hadn't thought of that, either. I was a pretty early adopter of broadband (like when it was a good day if it didn't go down once....) so have a hard time remembering dialup connections. At this point I am so spoiled I would no more go back to dialup than have the proverbial vat of boiling oil dumped on me.

Oddly enough, I still remember with some clarity my first PC connectivity. It was via a 300 baud modem, which was state of the art at the time. When Hayes came out with a 1200 baud modem it was considered a great leap forward.
