with a few lines of code you could attach the file to an smtp email if smtp is setup on the server. or if the is a webserver running save the file into the wwwroot folder and give people the link to it, like 111.222.333/file1.xls. ftp could be done in a similar way as well.
UPDATE you could also have a VPN and save the file to the location \\client_computer\shared_folder\
