thank you for your response. Your question about gains is probably similar to what one would have asked in not-wanting to switch from 16 bit to 32 bit.
In fact, there are gains in 64 bit over 32 bit, including increased memory addressing space, enhanced processor instruction set, speed improvements by taking advantage of processor design, and so forth.
Most importantly, by moving to 64 bit you prevent obsolescence when MS dumps "compatibility mode" installations--which will eventually happen.
I think my question is more towards companies/developers that will have to contend with competing products that will tout their 64 bit'ness.
The non-technical decision maker will think 64 bit is "new" and FoxPro is not 64 bit.
