In that respect, ahmen you are right on. Just speed up your disk drive(s) and you'll see a nice bump in performance.

Friends who went with 64 bit processors saw a nice boost and 64 bit XP bumped it up a little more. One of these days, when I have the time, I'll install either XP or Vista 64 bit version but primarily for checking compatibility not with the expectation of exceeding wrap speed. It seems every time I shoot for warp speed I end up in a black hole.
