>>LOL, they won't start a full blown war. They need eachother to point to as the bad guy to hide internal problems.

>Nice, wishful thinking.
Nope, this is how this. It is part of propaganda. Do you really think they would risk beeing burned down to the ground by the US by starting a nuclear war on another country? Tell me why did this not happen between the US and the sovjet union?

>>You better get your head straight before accusing leaking nuclear technology which was not on purpose...

>I stand by my accusation. Regardless of how Khan and his confederates got it, it was incumbent on European governments to make sure that nuclear technology didn't escape.

I can agree with that beeing a scandal, but corruption is something different.

>>The abramoff scandal just clearly outline how suspectable the US government is for bribe.

>You cling to Abramoff like a toddler clings to a favorite blanket. In the grand scheme of things, it's nothing compared to, say, the oil-for-food scandal. Or even the French Clearstream scandal:

>A burgeoning political scandal of alleged dirty tricks involving the cabinet's two top ministers has tainted the entire French government, pushing it to the brink of paralysis and collapse in the final year of President Jacques Chirac's administration, according to government officials and political analysts.
>
>Get off your high horse, Walter. There is no country on this planet not tainted by scandal at some level or another.

That is something I never did say. You twist my words.

>>Well you are too.. The pot is calling the kettle blank again. Europeans do have their own identity, their own self respect and sometimes get irritated by that though having international agreements ignores those and operates single handed and ignores europes voice entirely. Navo was not founded for the US to ignore. The geneva convention was not created to only withhold the enemy from torturing our citizens. Democracy was not invented for corporate power and influences.

>Eh, where did this tirade come from? AFAIK the US has been a backbone partner in NATO since its inception. Let's see...who was it that pulled out of NATO - oh, France!

Dan, when do you stop to post inaccurate conclusions and statements? France still is political member of NATO, but withdrew from the military command out of NATO. But what does that have to do with this discussion. The US is member of NATO, france btw is half, sweden is not. But if you are member of NATO does that mean obligations to other NATO members when making a military decision?

Hmmm, they're in Europe. Who else ignores Geneva Convention articles? China! Russia! Oh, they don't count since they aren't European, and besides, it's only done against thousands of their own citizens.

You simply ignore the fact thay the US did sign the geneva convention !!!! This attitude is beyond me (and arrogant), and is not really beneficial to the relationship between the US and other nations: Sign when it is beneficial to you, but then you still have the right to ignore it when you think you need to. Just great... What value does it have when you don't stick to it?

>Who ignores Europe's voice entirely? Seems I recall there were several European states helping out in Iraq. Maybe you mean...Iran! No, not European. Serbia?

Again this is not accurate. There was only one country military helping the US in its war in iraq. And that is the UK. There were only two or three countries (Holland, spain, italy??) who politically supported the war based on the intelligence information they were given which was at least an incorrect of the real situation.

After the technical war has been won, a lot of european countries, despite they were against the war, realized that given the new situations they were obligated to bring stability as a peace force UN mainly on humanitary grounds (Again holland as well).

As for Serbia, you're correct this was a right example of why NATO is there.

>The voice of Walter Meester is not the voice of Europe.

The voice of Daniel Leclair is not the voice of the US, leaving me stumped what your trying to say with that.
