I use RTF to store translations in normal memo-fields. This should run without any problems with VFP6/7/8/9. For printing I use Idealsoftware's Virtual Print Engine.

Regarding RTF you should be very carefull. The RTF created in the RTF control is something else than a RTF file/string created by Word. Word has the habit to put in a lot of Word stuff that is completely irrelevant for the text itself. We ran into this problem when copying and pasting data from Word into our application. The print engine went completely nuts. After cleaning up the rtf by the rtf-control we got it under control.

So RTF may be ASCII the content itself is something else. Be very carefull when copying and pasting RTF from Word into the control. I have gained lots of experience with this the hard way...

Regards,

Ron
