I was out of work, IT-related anyway, in 2000. I did construction, home repair, and worked for a tile guy remodeling kitchens and baths. It was some of the hardest work I ever did. I never realized how little I knew about construction until I worked with the guys who really do know it. I think I like the idea of doing contruction, but the reality is pretty harsh. It is probably what I would have ended-up doing if I didn't fall into what I do now.
>I think I would probably be a carpenter/electician/do it all handyman. On a day like today, I could think of nothing better than being away from this cubicle in this office and being outside with dirty hands and a sore back... and a tan.
