Note that if you have more than ca. 12,000 files in a single folder, you will have problems with the array limit (65,000 elements per array), until you switch to VFP 9.
Other solutions are available, but since they are more complicated, they are really not worth-while to consider, unless there is reason to believe you will ever have so many files - or unless you already have that many files.
