I've been away on vacation so I haven't had a chance to thank you for the response.

Everything goes to a printer which is attached to the LPT1: port. There is not supposed to be any other access to the printer (and I can pretty much guarantee that nobody else is sending jobs to it).

I've found some things which seem to examine the printer queue, but haven't yet been able to make them work. Could you please post some sample code of how you check the printer's queue? Please bear in mind that this is old legacy code written in VFP 6.
