That's not obligatory, but extremely recomendable. For VFP7 you can use an enhanced version of Golovlev's class to deal with GDI+ that you can access from here:


Using VFP9 you'll have more samples available to do whatever you want. Apart from that, you'll be able to take profit the new and terrific classes form VFP-X project

If you will create your image directly with GDI+, you won't have this problem, because you will create it using only Black and White.
