>You are correct. There was an article about it in US World and News Report about a year ago. They clearly showed that the prices for hybrid cars should come down, way down, to make the overall cost of owning less. I think hybrid cars are for rich people to make them feel good, as if they are helping the environment <g>.

But they are helping the environment if they would otherwise be driving an Escalade or a Hummer or a Mercedes or a Bentley, etc.
