I don't doubt it.
My problem was that at about year 10 I had to put a litre of oil into it every 500 km or so. Shops couldn't find what was causing it (no burning, no oil in water, no leaks visible). That was OK, until it got down to every 100 kms. Tried 2 shops again and they could only suggest tear down engine to find/fix or replace engine.
After having paid big maintenance for ball joints, suspension, brakes, exhaust and a few other things I decided to let it go. Gas was also rising at the time.
The mileage was great on the highway but poor in the city, and guess where I drove most < s >.
Was a great car though... I knew it would be because it was built on my birthday < s >.
cheers

>My current '91 Caprice Classic is still running, rust free, and fairly maintenance free at the moment. Just rolled over 60,000 miles. But I cheated - Florida car. I leave the fancy cars to my wife. So far it's 3 to 1.

>>I'm with you, Sam. I like the payment-free period afterwards and run it as long as practical. My former 1991 Caprice Classic ran for nearly 14 years before maintenance was getting to be too frequent/expensive. It had not a speck of rust, and that's really saying someting for these parts.
