for PDF output you can specify the file name in an INI file. Rick Strahl has an article on his web site that explains this approach. Alternatively, you can use a PDF generator that gives your more control such as XFRX.

I haven't heard anything about being able to programmatically control the Microsoft Document Imaging Printer. However, you might be able to use the keybd_event API function (http://www.news2news.com/vfp/?group=-1&function=1028) to simulate a user pressing Enter on the printer dialog.
