From what Google and I understood from that article, it was about his book "Ganz unter" ("completely below" or "at the bottom"), about illegals employed in construction, garbage collection and other low end jobs. From what I remember about this book (don't remember whether I read it as a book, but it was in the newspapers at the time, with possibly long excerpts), he went undercover again, pretending to be a Turk or Arab looking for a job, and how it really looked.

Is there anyone such here? Someone who'd really go under for months, just to be able to describe how it really is?
