Well, I knew it had to be something stupid, as far as I was concerned!

There were a few empty values in the parent field, which, by the way was a regular index.

As I said in my first or second thread, I have hardly used views, and I always preferred to use direct links in the dataenvironment of my forms, so I had not encountered such issues.

That caused all the confusion...but hey, I do cursors all the time, ...without a primary key... and no fuss, so I was up in arms here, with regard to the error generation, and the actual "hanging" of the view in case of such an error.

I thank you all immensely for all the time and effort spent on my case. Naomi, I must've tried your patience! Thanks, again!
