I want to provide a blank form, and allow the users to drop fields/labels, ect into it
and translate that into a Crystal Report. Hi, I figured it might be something like that.
What I've done in the past is create a report with a fixed number of horizontal columns, bound to generic column names in a dataset (Column1, Column2, Column3, etc.) I'll present the user with a list of data elements, and then I'll populate the generic columns. It's never looked as "pretty" as a standard report, but it usually addressed the basic requirements.
If you need something beyond that, you might want to ask Craig B., or do some searches on the Crystal site.
