One thing that caught my attention is the "hidden imam" stuff. This "hidden imam" is the 12th. imam, who is said to have disappeared in the year 260 D.H., and is expexted to re-appear 1000 years later, i.e., 1260 D.H. (1844 A.D.) At least, that was my understanding, but it possible that currently, Shiites believe something different, since the year 1260 (1844) is in the past.
