You said it. Simultaneously with "ageement" to the U.N. truce yesterday, Israel pushed ground troops deeper into southern Lebanon and remains in attack mode. The strategy has not budged from the one Ariel Sharon advocated as a young general -- "asymetric response." In plain English that means "If you so much as touch us, we'll hit you so hard you'll never even think of hitting us again." Not exactly conducive to truces or agreements.
