Oh, yes! When I lived in Edmonton, we used to go to Banff or Jasper almost every weekend. the drive between the two through the park system is almost too incredible to bear. I swear it'll burn your eyes out of their sockets within the first 2 hours. Every corner you turn (and there is no straight road) surprises you with a vista more beautiful than the last.
>British Columbia is one the most beautiful places on earth. If you ever the opportunity to visit - do. I've never had the opportunity to see the area in Canada were "Open Range" was filmed but hope to one day.

>>I'm heading down to Prince Edward County here in Ontario for the PEC Jazz Fest (gonna for sure see Oliver Jones and Jane Bunnett). It runs Aug 17-20, so that'll give me a couple of days of memories, and I'm ok with that.

>>I've never been to Ontario. My only trips to Canada have been to Montreal for DevTeach. One of these days I'll have to make it to Toronto.

>>I've heard some Oliver Jones, though I don't own any of his albums. Has he done anything beyond the trio? Aside from some McCoy Tyner material, I've usually preferred standard quartets/quintets.
