I remember as well! Once those costs are gone, it is amazing how you never save the money you used to spend on daycare because the kids are then old enough to want more clothes, gadgets, etc!

Now the girls are making money of their own, in seemingly the blink of an eye. Emily makes some money babysitting and Allie is raking it in this summer for a 16 year old. She works about 30 hours a week in the cafeteria of a small local college and makes over $7/hour. She will be able to continue working there when school starts next month, although I'm not sure how many hours shw will get once the college students are back. I'm sure the townies don't jump to the head of the line just because they worked during the summer.
