From what I've been able to determine, where the tmp files end up is apparently controlled by whether or not the app is located on a networked drive or a local one. My previous replies where based on testing that I did with FoxPro installed locally. In that scenario, if TMPFILES isn't set, the files end up on the startup directory. Here, where it's on the network, the tmp files do indeed end up in the Windows temp directory. While I haven't tested this out, I wonder where they end up if a locally installed app, sets its default directory to a network drive. BTW, in FPW (on the net) if TMPFILES is set to a drive (even if it's the same one as the windows temp directory is located, the files end up in that drive's root
