>George,
>I am curious about the routine to remove TMP files that 'get left behind'. My experience with these files is that sometimes they are cross linked with DBF files and removing them also removes the DBF files. We always run scan disk before removing TMP files. Have you come up with a better way, and if so please let me know.

What I did was orginally back in the DOS days on non-networked computers. The routine created a batch file that ran chkdsk and then deleted the tmp files. Now, in a network situation, this (cross-linked clusters) shouldn't be a problem. The VFP app checks the time/date stamp when the app starts up. If the files are two minutes or more old, they're deleted.
