Thanks for your message and ideas.
I've already obtained a partial solution, and hope to be able to to all the task using only GDI+, and with good performance.

BTW, using the new classes, it is already possible to create multi-frame TIFFs too. By the end of this week Bo may publish a new stable release, that already contains a multiframe example.
