If her approach is right (maybe not 'right' but appropriate for the types of people she is working with) she may still be able to accomplish it. Sadly some jobs don't allow us to work at our best if we want to keep our jobs. However, based on her experiences so far I think her team members are too childish resentful already and will fight anything she recommends.

I've never seen any group of programmers ready to "fight" against good ideas. I think it's fair to say there's a certain "type" and it's runs pretty true. I've only met one programmer that stubbornly held to his ways and that's too bad. He's twit-filtered and I avoid him and threads where he participates.
