Krispy Kreme opened up here in Toronto with much fanfare. They opened a number of shops, and I'm not positive, but afaik, a couple of years later now, there is only one left. They started dropping like flies early on. Personally, I think they were a good choice - especially for donut freaks who would like to lose weight. I found they were so sweet that one donut was about all I could handle. As soon as I see one, I can start to hear my teeth rotting.
>I'm horrified. :-) Why anyone would prefer a Dunkin Donut to a Krispy Kreme is beyond me. :-)

>>I'd *love* to see Dunkin Donut shops on the West Coast ... I'm originally from the East Coast and that's one thing I miss out here. There aren't any at all, AFAIK. Krispy Kreme is just *not* as good, IMHO. <g>

>>>I don't know about Subway Sandwich, but I would check for availability of Dunkin Donut shops franchise on the West Coast. Here, in the East, DD shops are supposed to be super profitable. And since I am addicted to them <g>, I see that they operate like a piece of machinery.
