>>>My favorite indication of how the president feels towards issues related to energy independence is:

>>While the loophole certainly would allow someone to do that, I doubt that was the thinking when Congress put it into law. The tax code is full of loopholes, and to single this particular one out to bash the President on energy policies is idiotic.

>>Personally, I think anyone that buys a Hummer for personal use has inadequacy issues, but that's my own opinion.

>A quick aside: Hummer limosines also suck. The ceiling is too low and it only seats 8, unless you rent the super-stretch. If you're ever getting together with 20 of your nearest and dearest for an outing, I highly recommend the Party Bus. Nearly the same interior as the Hummer but you're able to stand up and easily move around.

Driving on the 280 near South San Francisco, we saw a Hummer with camouflage paint and from its license plate it was not a government vehicle. Driving the Hummer was a guy in fatigues – the kind you buy from the Army Surplus store.

A 50 caliber machine was mounted on the top and a guy with fatigues and his face painted with a bit of black here and there was behind it. The guy on top waved to everyone passing him. Now that was a Hummer! Imagine pulling up to a gas pump in that outfit? :)
