Sam,

There is no doubt that sadam is not a friend you take out on saterday night. However do you think the situation now is any better ?? Do you think it will improve anytime soon?

I don't have any numbers to back this up, but I have no trouble to believe the number of people killed after the US invaded iraq exceeds the number of people killed during the whole regime of saddam in almost 30 years. Bagdad never has been a more dangerous place to be. IMO, the cure is worse than the decease. Do you really think the people of iraq feel the enlightment of democracy ?? I doubt it.

The mistake we make is that we try to solve issues in those countries by thinking with a western mind. That is very naieve and ignorant. We should think within their culture for a solution.
