>Hi All. Just curious - I only get emails written in English. I'm curious to know whether any of you get spam written in languages you don't know or normally use. Not just an occasional one but regularly.

Now that you mentioned it, I am getting a few in Japanese or Chinese (not that I really looked into them to see which). None in other languages.

While I had a yahoo address, I used to get a lot of spam in Russian there, mostly tourist agencies. Don't know why, the name is in English.

The Asian language messages (and most of the other spam) goes to my wife's email, which is published at her website years ago. The site isn't visited much, except by bots :). My old address (at Rox's server) is what I use for websites which require an address for registration, and that one receives far less spam. Go figure. My daughters occasionally use this machine to visit some gaming websites, because it's physically close to the TV where the Playstation is hooked; these do have some Japanese in them (Final Fantasy stuff, mostly), but then why would this relate to my wife's email and not to mine, I don't really know. It may be that it's the first sender address which pops up on mailto: links.

My regular email address (published here and on my website) attracts much less spam, about half of what my wife gets. We have yet another address, registered on eBay only, and it never gets anything but eBay's own spam.
