Any chance you're using Spy Sweeper 5.0? I've experienced exactly what you're talking about since upgrading from 4.x to 5.0. Usually I notice it while typing text, and not only in VFP, somtimes also in a text editor or while composing e-mail. The keyboard just stops responding for a few seconds, then catches up. I don't know exactly which process is causing it, but shutting down Spy Sweeper eliminates the problem. I've seen this with both 5.0.5 and 5.0.7 and am now considering going back to 4.x.
