I've been building computers with AMD chips for a few years now, and I've seen no problems. I just purchased a new Acer Aspire 5100 notebook with a 120 gig hd, 1 gig ram, and a dual core AMD chip. I previously had an AMD chip in my old Acer notebook. No problems. Good price, good performance.
