I also use to go with the 'best of breed' products, ZoneAlarm for firewall, Spy Sweeper, and AVG. The primary reason I started using the ZoneAlarm Security Suite was for the anti-spam features. Within the past month or two, I read the review about the Security Suite. After having trouble with Spy Sweeper, I decided to just try it for everything.

So far, so good, but it's only been about a week. I actually uninstalled Spy Sweeper and AVG this morning. I had wanted to keep them installed and try to run them once a week just to check on things, but they seem pretty invasive. I use a program from PC Magazine called TaskPower and it showed them both running despite my attempts at shutting them down.
