Setting the property as you suggested generates an error because of the space between 'Visual' and 'FoxPro'.

Yes, the project appears in the window drop-down menu, but selecting it does nothing.

No, the files are not deleted. It's just that when you type in "modify project xxx", nothing happens (except the project name now appears in the Window menu. Also a bit strange because the cursor disappears until you click somewhere on the screen. Please help.
