Thank for your advise. Your help is very much appreciated. However, I still had one minor problem of set index command. The clipper code use SET INDEX TO , just to open the table CDX index file. However, when I modified the code to visual foxpro using -> SET INDEX TO OF , the compiler complained of not able to find .NDX file. Did I use the wrong command. Any suggestion or advise is very much appreciated. thank you

Hopefully this was done at the same time the indexes were converted to CDX style.
