ActiveX Controls are really separate applications. Try taking a modal form and displaying that modal form over a form with an ActiveX control. Often, the control will appear over the modal form.
Short of creating a method that explicitly toggles the visibility of both controls, I am not sure what else you can do. I do know that shipping with VFP 6 is a new calendar control - version 8.0. Also, with Access/Assign methods, creating an assign method for the container's visible property. When the visible property of th container changes, code can be placed in the assign method of the visible assign method as well to toggle the visibility of the calendar control.
