>So, it's all perspective and attitude. Nothing to do with any outside influences. Fits right in with what Jos said about "big" and "small" but under finer inspection it sort of blows the Hierarchy of Needs out of the water. Perhaps not though. Maslow was talking more about the most basic needs, not whether you have electricity to run the PC or not. Once those basic needs are taken care of, then attitude and perspective makes the difference and you can concentrate on the big things. It's a lot to think about.

I wrote a long reply but decided to not bore you with it :) Just a short post on Maslow - Attitude is the determining factor at all levels of the hierarchy. The only difference is that at the lower levels we dont have enough time to be sitting around wondering what it's all about and why aren't we happy. We're too busy finding food or building shelter. It's only when we have satisifed the lower levels that we can afford to ponder the bigger issues. But all along, it's our attitudes which determine whether we are happy or not. Not the things we have or the circumstances we find ourselves in.
In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends - Martin Luther King, Jr.
