I am looking into re-writing an existing FoxPro for DOS which manages how users FTP files to and from a PC to other systems. One of the main functions is to FTP file from and to MVS. Since we run Z/MVS it is possible to use the seucre FTP protocol (SSL I think). For other platforms, other PC, Unix, VM we would have to use the non-secure FTP protocol.

My questions are:

What products would you reccomend and if possible why.

Do you have sample code (examples) you would be willing to share.

Do you know if the company you reccomend offers accademic discounts.
