I'm *supposed* to get only 2 weeks, but we can carry over a lot too. I had carried over *some* from last year (about a week) and I *still* got to take 6 weeks off!!! I used a lot of sick time to make up the difference (because I *never* get sick enough to take those days for real), and now I'm in the hole for only about 4 vacation days. They let you get behind for a week I think. Anyway, it worked out great!

Usually I only take 2 in the summer and eke out the remaing in the odd days between summer and Xmas. But this year, esp. as my boss took 3 weeks, I thought, Hell, I'm going to enjoy the extra week in the sun, instead of miserable rainy days in Oct/Nov. Pity it was the week the weather broke! :-)
